Our purpose as provided under the Peggy’s Cove Commission Act is to preserve the unique scenic beauty, character and atmosphere of the Area for the enjoyment of both residents and visitors for property within the Peggy’s Cove Preservation area. This is primarily achieved through administering the Land Use Bylaws for the preservation area. On behalf of the Peggy’s Cove Commission, I would like to inform you that the Commission met on Friday, October 13th to thoroughly discuss the written and oral comments received from the October 12th Public Hearing of Objections. The Commission formally moved to submit the draft Land Use Bylaw to the Minister for consideration of approval, with one minor amendment to clarify the note on the zoning map to indicate that the zone boundaries are authoritative subject to Section 3.5 of the draft LUB. We will notify you when the submission is formally made to the Minister and post the document submitted. We want to thank the community for your time and participation in the Land Use Bylaw review process, as well thank you to UPLAND Planning + Design for their work and guidance through the review process.
